I’m going to be honest, I do not like giving negative reviews of BBQ places. I know how proud pit masters are of their menus. But after the HORRIBLE experience we had this past weekend, I was left with no choice.

First impression...should have gone elsewhere. The live music was absurdly loud...and the musical act were the most untalented hacks I’ve ever had the displeasure of listening too. Any musician will tell you, bad musicians play loud to cover their mistakes. These guys were so loud they could be heard throughout most of Grafton...and were such poor musicians that no matter how loud they were, they still couldn’t cover their multitude of mistakes. This should have been our first clue, but we were hungry for BBQ.

My wife and I both ordered the “award winning” pulled pork. This is CLEARLY not award winning BBQ. Of the dozens of BBQ restaurants and competitions I’ve been too, this ranks at the very bottom....WAY below anything I’ve ever had. I’ve gotten better BBQ at McDonalds. The pulled pork was so dry that you HAD to put sauce on it just to swallow. It was also room temperature...not a good thing when it comes to pork. You don’t have a set server, there are servers that roam around. I flagged one of the servers down and had to YELL (because the untalented hacks were playing) to tell her the pulled pork was being served at room temperature and asked for new sandwiches as these may not be safe to eat. He laughed and sarcastically said “I’ll let them know.” and walked away. I then flagged down another server, again stated that the pork may not be safe to eat and asked for new sandwiches. He said, “sure, I’ll get right on that”, and walked away. After 20 minutes, nothing. I tried flagging him down again, but was purposely ignored. We ended up leaving after only taking one bite, terrible service, and a horrible headache from the talentless hacks playing as loud as possible.

After this experience, I can say that this place is probably not safe to eat at. Moreover, the food is seriously the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. I’ve never had BBQ I didn’t like...until this place. These guys shouldn’t be serving food. Period. We ended up driving into Alton, and eating some place else.
